'Please Avoid Hyping This Up': Gaurav Khanna Confirms Receiving ₹50 Lakh Bigg Boss 19 Prize

Actor Gaurav Khanna, who emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 19, recently addressed speculation surrounding the ₹50 lakh prize money he received after his victory. The actor clarified that he has already been paid the full amount and urged fans and media not to create unnecessary controversy over the matter.

The issue began after a clip from one of Khanna’s YouTube vlogs went viral on social media. In the video, the television star appeared to suggest that he had not yet received the prize money promised to him after winning the reality show hosted by Salman Khan. The clip quickly sparked discussions online, with fans questioning why the payment might have been delayed, especially since the grand finale of the show took place in December 2025.

However, Khanna has now cleared the air regarding the controversy. He explained that the clip circulating online was taken from an older vlog that had been recorded more than a month earlier. According to the actor, the video was filmed during a previous period and was uploaded later, which led many viewers to assume it reflected the current situation.

Speaking about the confusion, Khanna emphasised that the matter had already been resolved. “Actually, this is being blown out of proportion. It's from a vlog which was recorded nearly 40 days back,” he said while explaining how the misunderstanding began. The actor further clarified that he has since received the entire prize money from the makers of the show.

He also requested fans and media outlets not to exaggerate the situation or turn it into a larger controversy. “I have, in the meantime, received my full prize money. Also, in TV, the timelines take some time, which I have clearly mentioned in the vlog without blaming anyone. So kindly, please avoid hyping this up,” Khanna added.

Khanna had lifted the Bigg Boss 19 trophy after defeating finalists Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik in the grand finale. Along with the title, he also took home the ₹50 lakh cash prize.
